I seem to recall an EPISODE or plot on the old television show (Lassie) about a Blind race horse. somebody did a cartoon in TV guide on the plot and had him wearing dark glasses and having a nametag- Dark Victory! Dark Victory is about terminal illness (not blindness oriented) and starred Bette Davis. There was a short story about a blind horse called (major) in some anthology . He lived on a farm and knew all the paths about the grounds by instinctive memory. sort of a compensatory thing, given the title, the blindness may have been war-related. c.l935
