The nasal bone is a minimal contributor to the bony nasal septum. The anterior part of the nasal septum is cartilage.
The bones that form the septum are:
the perpendicular plate of the ethmoid bone, the vomer, the sphenoidal rostrum, the crest of the nasal bones, the frontal spine, and the median crest formed by the apposition of the maxillary and palatine bones.
The Vomer
It is made up of thin bone. There are three oblique thin bony projections from the septum, called as conchae. They are superior, middle and inferior nasal conchae. They are covered by mucus membrane.
The term nasal means pertaining to your nose. So any thing that involves the nose or its' passages are nasal. If you have a cold, you often have nasal congestion since the membranes in the nasal cavities become swollen.
The nasal septum runs down the middle of the nose creating 2 sides to the nose, each with a passageway that ends in a nostril.

deviated septum
The nasal septum separates the left and right nasal cavities. It extends from the nares anteriorly to the choanae posteriorly and is covered by squamous epithelium. The vertical midline nasal septum is comprised primarily of a single cartilage and two bones.
The nasal septum has three functions: to support the nose, to regulate air flow, and to support the mucous membranes (mucosa) of the nose.
