The natural place (assuming you mean natural habitat) of a dog is with humans. Dogs are domesticated wolves, but have been bred to live and work with humans. Most dogs are dependent on humans and cannot live well in the wild. So anywhere humans live could potentially be a place for a dog.

Dogs were domesticated thousands of years ago, and some evidence suggests they were first domesticated in Asia. The oldest breeds are from Asia and Africa.
