It is called evolution. After all, all characteristics, as far as evolution is concerned, are intermediate. They're all temporary variants, on their way to becoming something else.
stabilizing selection
When natural selection favors the intermediate version of a characteristic, it is referred to as stabilizing selection. It is the opposite of disruptive selection.
It is called evolution. After all, all characteristics, as far as evolution is concerned, are intermediate. They're all temporary variants, on their way to becoming something else.
Directional selection is when natural selection favors a single phenotype. It occurs when there is a shift in population towards an extreme version of a beneficial trait.
Much of "On the Origin of Species" comes from Darwin's studies of farm animals and domestic livestock. While human selection is NOT natural selection, selective breeding can be seen as an accelerated, exaggerated and unnatural version of the same process. Farmers know it works, and were, after all, the ones who started the practice thousands of years ago.
modularity
Balancing selection is a type of natural selection that maintains genetic diversity by preserving different versions of a gene in a population. This occurs when multiple versions of a gene are advantageous in different environments or circumstances, preventing any one version from becoming fixed in the population. As a result, genetic diversity is maintained, allowing for adaptation to changing conditions and increasing the overall fitness of the population.
An intermediate exhaust pipe generally refers to the pipe that comes directly off of the manifold, and to which the catalytic converter, or mid-tail pipe section is bolted /welded too. On newer cars and trucks, the intermediate pipe sometimes has a bendable section that looks like a scaled up version of a braided tube.
No Elements version have the pen tool. The vector features are limited, but the selection tools are very good, especially with version 14.
Cotton
The Peppered moth avoids predation by using camouflage to blend int to tree bark. It was originally white with black spots. However in the industrial revolution when the local trees were blacked by soot from the factory chimneys, a black variant with white spots became prevalent in these regions. In the areas of pollution the black version blended in and the white stood out so natural selection changed the appearance of the population in these areas.
Evolution states that a species will change to become more suited to its environment. Natural selection is survival of the fittest. The newly evolved version of the species is more fit to survive, therefore thriving.
