The 4.2 L 6-cylinder engine uses a 195* thermostat per the factory specifications.
The thermostat begins to open at 195* and is fully opened by about 200*.
200-215* as shown by your dash board temperature gauge is considered normal operating temperature if your cooling system is in good condition and properly maintained.
Depending on the type of motor you have the temperature should be around 195 degrees.
