I have a Snapper 214XIP and it has had a DENSO W20M-U spark plug in it. It works GREAT!!!
It is probably a Briggs & Stratton engine. You will need to supply the model number from the engine to get a correct gap.
change the spark plug or check the gap on the spark plug. clean your air filter.
You may do serious damage to the lawnmower if the wrong spark plug is installed.
Most mowers don't have a coil, they use magnetos for ignition. If it does have on it steps up voltage to a high level to jump the spark plug gap.
front right of engine, from driver seat perspective, follow the 1/4 inch spark cable down to where plug is
the magnet on the spinning flywheel of a lawnmower creates a spark every time ot passes by the coil. this spark is what ignites the fuel
yes
you replace the spark plug If after replacing the spark plug you still have no spark you may want to check depending on year and model of lawnmower: - wire to kill switch might be shorted. -Take flywheel cover off and clean dirt and rust off flywheel and coil -if it has points and condenser you will have to pull the fly wheel and replace them and reset points then put back together.
Before working on the Toro model 20017 lawnmower, disconnect the spark plug. The drive belt is visible under the mover. Use a ratchet to remove the blade. The drive belt is now accessible and can be easily changed.
Depending on what lawnmower you have just simply take the spark plug out and tilt lawnmoer
