It is by the oil filter.
The oil pressure sensor, on a 2008 Chevrolet Impala, is located on the front of the engine. The sensor will be just above the oil pan.
It is near the oil filter adapter housing.
There are two oil sensors on a 2006 Chevrolet Impala. One is to monitor oil pressure and the other is to let you know if the oil level is low.
It means you may be low on engine oil or need a new oil pressure sensor or worse a new oil pump.
where is the oil presure sensor on a 2006 chevy impala lx 3.5 v6 and how do i replace it pics or video please thanks

Low or no oil pressure.
I have a 2001 Impala with a 3.8L engine. With new oil and tires at full pressure I get 28mpg. 26 prior to service
the promblem is the oil pump.
If it has a V8 engine, the oil pressure switch is located next to where the distrubuter shaft enters the engine.
Possibly depends on engine type - 4 ,6 ,8 - and year. Normally an oil pressure switch is located close to the oil filter - usually on the lowest part of the engine, or near there.
