It's a $15-$25 part depending on where you buy it. Take it to a qualified shop and have them "scan" the computer. It should show up as a stored trouble code. Mine only did it a few random times. For those of us who've lost an oil pump, you generally "know" by the really bad knocking noises from under the hood. If it's not the switch, sorry, you need a pump!
