The record is usually attributed to a Boa Constrictor that lived in captivity to the age of forty. However, a Rubber Boa that was first captured as a large adult in the wild in 1971 lived until 2006. The age of this snake at first capture is estimated to be at least 15 years old and very likely significantly older. A conservative estimate of the life span of this snake is fifty years and perhaps as much as seventy. For detailed notes on this snake check out the following link:

the oldest anaconda was 31years of age at basle zoo

however tribes of south America claim ages of 40-50+ to be known for the larger specimens however this is not proven
