The Titans were the Original "parents" of the greek gods.
Chronos and gaia for example gave birth to Zeus, Poseidon and Hades, but Chronos swallowed Poseidon ad hades alive. Gaia hid Zeus until he grew up and freed his Brothers.
The three of them shared the world (Zeus got the overworld, Hades the Underworld, poseidon the Oceans) and the Titans reign has ended
