"Blue Nose" "Red Nose" etc are not breeds, they are color patterns. Most American Pit Bull Terriers have the same variety of temperaments. They are intelligent, people (and child) friendly, active, strong, loyal, focused, level headed dogs that need a variety of exercise for both their bodies and minds. A bored pit can become quite destructive. Due to the unfortunate dog fighting past, APBT have a tendency to be dog aggressive if not properly socialized. Another part of dog fighting is that any dog that showed any aggression towards its handler was not bred. This means that 1. Human aggression is almost zero. 2. They don't make good guard dogs unless properly trained. They do tend to be a great deterrent thanks to their mystique, but they are extremely people focused dogs.
