The Crankshaft Position Sensor senses it's position from a toothed timing ring behind the Crankshaft pulley. The CKP is above and to the left of the crankshaft pulley.
The timing sensor is called a Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKP). It is located at the 10 O'Clock positon on the crankshaft pulley.
the crankshaft position sensor is located between the main pulley and oil pump pulley in the lower part of the timing belt.
There's a mark on the bottom of the hole in which the crankshaft pulley bolt goes into. That mark has to be aligned with the mark on the oil pan below it. The camshafts have marks on them which has to be aligned so they face each other. Install the timing belt, adjust and tighten the tensioner located above the crankshaft pulley and to the right of the water pump pulley, then rotate the crankshaft twice in a clockwise direction. When done, the camshafts should end up back where they started.
The crankshaft position sensor must be behind the timing belt cover next to the crankshaft and behind the crankshaft pulley. The camshaft position sensor is again under the timing belt cover next to the camshaft and behind and the camshaft pulley. Is it the same place in 2000 Camry 4Cyl? Do you have pictures of the location? Hard or easy to replace, and what tools do I need? Thanks alot
It is located underneath timing belt cover, behind crank pulley.
In order to do this properly, you need the correct tools as well as an owner's manual and a repair manual for diagrams that show the relevant parts and their names, ignition marks and so on. The manual is also necessary in order to understand some of the terms named here. You should prepare well for this job in order to avoid mistakes which could be serious. Procedure: The engine should be cold. Use the crankshaft pulley bolt to turn the crankshaft and align the timing marks on the crankshaft timing pulley and on the oil pump body. Remove any oil or water on the crankshaft timing pulley, idler pulley and water pump pulley, and keep them clean. Align the installation mark on the timing belt with the drilled mark of the crankshaft timing pulley. Install the timing belt on the crankshaft timing pulley, also on idler and water pump pulleys. Crankshaft Position: Turn the crankshaft pulley, and align its groove with the
check the timing position the dash marks of both camshafts should be on one line while the mark of the crankshaft in the right position >
The timing marks are located on the lower section of the timing belt cover above the crankshaft pulley. The mark is on the crankshaft pulley. The timing cannot be adjusted on the 3.2L engines. The timing is computer controlled by the ecm wich receives a signal from the crankshaft position sensor. The timing marks for the timing belt are on the camshaft pulleys ( aligned with dots on the front of the metal rear piece of the timing chain cover) and the lip behind the crankshaft timing belt pulley. It is a half circle slot that you align with a horizontal line on the oil pump at about 3 oclock ( right hand side ).
i need timing marks of merc c180 kompresser diagramatically if possible.thank you
Timing marks are always on the crankshaft, usually on the pulley closest to the block. This is because the timing must be based upon the position of the number one piston, which is connected to the crankshaft.
On the crankshaft pulley
