Only 8,336 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham coupe's were produced in 1985 and was also the last year of the coupe body style. If you look hard enough there's always one for sale but be ready to spend $$$$. ;) 1980-1984 Coupe Devilles will also fit and I tell u what, if u find the doors, they are very very expensive.... I got a pair of solid one's from 1981 Coupe Deville that i paid back in 04 for 700 bucks that Im planing to put on my 1985 Brougham
It is a Gen III Fleetwood and will use something along the lines of a THM200 or a 200-R4 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turbo-Hydramatic#Turbo-Hydramatic_200 also see http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/rwd-19xx-1984-deville-fleetwood-1985/105690-1988-brougham-needs-2004r-transmission-please.html Some debate as to whether the 200 series are any good. I have an 1988 Fleetwood Brougham and have had issues before 100K (97K in 2009) The rest of the car was in great shape (old lady car).
The firing order on a 1984 Cadillac Fleetwood is 1, 2, 7, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8. The number one connection on the distributor is on the back right as you face the engine.
The gas cap is under the rear license plate. If you have automatic door locks, make sure your doors are unlocked, or you will have in the trunk what looks like a door lock that slides, slide it to unlock your license plate. Then put the gas cap on the right side of the plate to hold it open and pump your gas. At least that is how it works on my 1984 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham Coupe, that has power everything. Hope this helps : > )
It is worth what ever someone is willing to pay for an old new car. It should be worth approximately $6000, but if womeone is willing to pay more, take it!! Unless you are like me and love your cadilac, you can't well LOVE
The main difference between the Cadillac Fleetwood and Cadillac is size. The Cadillac Fleetwood is usually bigger than the deville but it all depends on the year to determine the difference. In some of the older years like 1984 and before, it was only an inch or two difference in length and slighty different appearance but in the eighties and ninties the fleetwoods were usually significantly longer and a little wider when comparing the two, basically two completely different models.Like in like 1985 as well as in 1995 when the two were very different models especially in size. So the general rule for comparing the two is the Fleetwood is usually bigger specifically in length.
Fleetwood Weekly News was created in 1984.
Yes the 307 will bolt right in to an '84 without any changes; the transmission will even for the '84 will even work.
