to me that sounds like many tings could be wrong with it lines are dirty, tune up, bad gas, or idle is too low
it could be a bad vacuum line or it could be the the throttle position switch
A bad coolant temperature sensor is one thing that could cause an idling speed problem with a Peugeot 406. There could also be a problem with the idle control valve.
The condenser fan is more likely to run when the car is idling. So if it NEVER comes on when idling you definitely have a problem. If the condenser is not cooled, then your compressor could get overloaded. It may be a problem with a relay that is preventing the fan from running - or some other issue.
if u take off the egr valve and tap it it on something to knock out the carbon built up inside ,and put it back on, its a free fix, just the labor involved
Check the throttle position sensor
The idling speed cannot be adjusted for fuel injected models. It is done by the ECU depending on inputs from various sensors. If the idling is erratic it is best if the car is taken to the vauxhall dealership who have testing equipment called TECH 2 which diagnoses the problem. 550.00 @ Honda of Annapolis. Having the same problem with my 92 Accord.
try checking your cooloing fan. make sure it is running There is no air getting to your radiator as you are not moving! Or there is a problem elsewhere in your cooling system!
it maybe just a timing problem
answers are no where to be seen
probably the governor going bad
The most likely cause of a 1992 Ford Aerostar stalling while idling is bad spark plugs. The plugs should be changed and the timing checked to resolve the problem.
