The check valve for vacuum to your assist is leaking.Normal operation would keep vacuum in the booster,but when the engine is stopped vacuum drains out and you have no assist. Replace the valve.
Your car could be losing brake pressure because you have a bad ABS control module. It also could be a bad brake booster.
I had the same problem with my 99 f-150. Turned out to be a sick-sensor problem. Replacment of the oil pressure sensor was the fix.
its probably the trim in your car hanging loose or if its your whole chassis you might want to take the car tested and replace the brake pads ------------------ The brake rotors are warped. Have them turned or replaced. This is a very common problem, i see it all the time. You may as well replace the pads while you are at it.

First the driver puts pressure in the foot brake, which then pushes a small piston, the piston then exerts pressure in the brake fluid. Then the increased pressure is transmitted through the fluid in the brake lines to a larger piston within the wheels of the car. Each piston pushes in a brake pad which the rubs against the brake disc, and the wheels motion is slowed down by the force of friction.
You could have a leak in your power brake system.
There is a switch located on the brake pedal that is most likely causing the problem. Re-adjust the switch if it's out of adjustment or if it is broken disconnect it until you can get a replacement. Just remember your brake lights won't work at all without the switch.
