you probably shouldn't open an electric fuel pump if you have to ask, just replace it. However ,if the car is older and has a mechanical pump, you'll probably find it attached to the bottom front of your eng. block, usually 2 bolts fasten it to the motor, take it off of the engine, you can probably leave the fuel lines on, then unscrew the top of pump from the bottom of the pump, disassemble and look for obstructions, then rebuild using the parts from the rebuild kit that I forgot to tell you to buy. good luck!
