Very interesting query! Light being wave does not collide with another light wave. We have not seen two waves produced on the surface of water get collided as they go across each other. So photons could collide with material particle such as electron and hand over the energy. This is the phenomenon of photo electric emission. But photon-photon collision is not discussed so far.
