If you have a driver's lisense and SS number it's just like regular. No its not. I tis a diffucult and long process it is actually not difficult at all....all you need is that persons birth certificate and valid i.d. you will also need your birth certificate and an i.d. a social security number is not necessary even though it is on the application. Believe i just got married to an illegal immigrant two weeks ago and am now starting the process for his visa.

∙ 12y agoThe process is the same as for any other marriage. There is no citizenship requirement or screening for marriage in the United States. Marriage to an American citizen, however, does not automatically confer American citizenship upon the foreign spouse.

I am not immigration lawyer or anything like that. But I believe that if it is very hard for a US citizen to marry an illegal alien in the US (because of all the paperwork and time that it takes and the legth of time, one year or more. Often the illegal alien will HAVE to go back to their country and start the paperwork process from there). That's why it seems to me that it would be even more difficult for a permanent resident alien to marry an illegal alien, but perhaps not imposible-- perhaps. That is assuming that you are a permanet resident alien of the US or have a similar visa.
