There are several types of sheep shearing machines to use. Just know if your sheep are dense wool or open lofty wool and go from there. We have Jacob sheep and their wool is open lofty and we can use Oster large animal clippers with a sheep shearing head attachment, Oster shearmaster clipper is the one we use. There are also industrial type shearing machines like Heiniger .
You shear a sheep with what are called body clippers, a very heavy made clipper. You start at the base of their heads and work back in strokes to keep the fleece intact as best you can across the back and sides. Once the back and sides are done you can do the less valuable wool on the belly and rump.

The birthing process is called lambing.
This means that you are sheering (or removing) the thick wool on the sheep's body, this helps them stay cool during hot summer seasons.
Sheep do not need many special conditions to live. They need adequate food and a water supply. Sheep also don't like extreme temperatures and will need shelter.
