Engine hot cooling not hot?

Engine is Hot, Coolant is not HOThere engine is hot means above the engine operating temperature, Coolant is not hot means coolant in the radiator is not hot and the coolant is below or withing the operating temperature.i think there is no water blow out from the radiator cap if you have this problem then the following will not apply to your case.* water is not circulating through the radiator, either half of the pumped water is circulating through the radiator or another half circulates through the engine block because of thermostat. so please check the engine thermostat for proper function.

Why does your coolant boil when run the engine and AC together?

Check to see if the electric cooling fans are coming on, and at the proper temperature. The air conditioning is adding heat to the engine, and your cooling system cannot remove the extra heat. This happens with some cars at idle, when the heat stays around the engine and the coolant is not circulating as quickly. Extra electric fans are installed to deal with this, but they have to be operating properly and you have to have the proper mix of antifreeze as well.

1993 roadmaster overheats and then cools down?

I would guess that the thermostat is not opening at the proper temperature. Once it does open proper circulation brings it down to the correct operating temperature. I think it should be replaced.

What is the normal operating temperature for a 1990 Chevy blazer 350 cid?

The thermostat you are running will determine the lowest operating temp most are around 195 deg, The engine itself can run much high under load iI have seen over 230 deg. without a problem with proper coolant, As long as it is not boiling over it is not to hot.

Do you need a thermostat in your car?

you can run without one but you should have one to maintain proper engine operating temperature

What does a car radiator do?

Radiator stores engine coolant for circulation throughout the engine The radiator is placed at the front of the engine and exposed to the atmosphere to keep coolant cool to maintain proper engine temperature
