NaCl stabilizes the the double helical structure of DNA. It also provides Na+ that neutralise the negative charge present on DNA. Due to the negative charge the DNA molecules repell each other. When the charge is neutralized the DNA molecule come together and could be precipitated.
When DNA is an an aqueous solution, is is surrounded by water molecules. These surrounding molecules constitute the shell of hydration.
By adding salt, the shell of hydration is replaced by salt molecules and the DNA comes out of solution. The DNA is now said to be in a precipitated state.
The process is commonly referred to as 'salting out'
Sodium chloride help to separate DNA from other proteins.
Sodium chloride is used to precipitate DNA.
For more details see the link below.
Sodium chloride help the the precipitation of DNA.
Adding salt DNA become less soluble and form a precipitate easy to separate.
NaCl help the precipitation and separation of DNA.
Sodium chloride help to precipitate DNA from a solution; after this the salted DNA can be filtered.
NaCl help the precipitation and separation of DNA.
DNA precipitates in the presence of high salt concentrations (like NaCl) and either ethanol or ispropanol.
Sodium chloride help to precipitate and separate DNA.
NaCl provides Na+ions which form ionic bond with the negatively charged phosphate of DNA,thus neutralizing the effect of negative ,negative repulsion of DNA and helps the DNA molecules to come closer and compact to simplify our process of DNA isolation... We can not extract DNA from RBCs as they are without nucleus. only the source of DNA extraction is Leukocytes, RBCs are not good source of extraction but we can extract DNA from immature RBCs.
This is an ambiguous question: are we talking about obtaining DNA samples from the person, are we talking about obtaining DNA from the specimen? Obtaining DNA from a person is as simple as swabbing the person's buccal mucosa, which is inside a person's cheek. Obtaining DNA from a specimen is a process by which DNA is extracted by using chemicals that emulsify the cells to extract the DNA, then centrifuging the mixture to extract it. The DNA is then pipetted into a radioactive gel that identifies each strand's DNA structure. The preparation is then x-rayed to reveal the unique DNA structure.
