It is used to equalizer the brake pressure from front to back. So that when you hit the brakes they all work at the same time and one does not grab before the other.

Check to see if it has a mechanically operated equalizer valve in rear lines and if so disconnect actuating rod and tie valve open to allow fluid flow

Why won't your brake warning light go out on your 1977 dodge motorhome you have done a complete brake job and have blead them four times?

AnswerMake sure parking brake is fully releasedMake sure master cylinder is fullCheck to see if it has an "equalizer" valve that has to be manually resetAn "Equalizer valve?" he must mean the purportionating valve which is what controls the amount of braking power supplied to the front and rear wheels, Usually located right below the master cylinder. there is a small electrical switch on these valves which has a wire coming from it, this valve must be "centered" to get the light to go out if its the reason in the first place but this is usually only necessary if you lost your brakes due to a ruptured brake-line but I wanted to help with the answer that was given above. A repair manual would tell you how to reset that valve/switchzperiodz

Why do you have very little pressure at rear wheel caliper while bleeding brakes?

Could be a collapsed (restricted) brake line Equalizer valve may have to be manually opened to allow full fluid flow (Ford)

What is the purpose of the external equalizer on a TXV?

The purpose of the External equalizer on the TXV is to compensate for the pressure drop in the evaporator coil , This is done since the superheat calculation is based on the difference in the Saturation temperature corresponding to the Suction pressure (Measured after the coil) and the actual suction line temperature. Now, in a TXV measurement of actual line temperature is accomplished by using the Sensing Bulb and the Measurement of the Suction pressure by the External Equalizer of the TXV. The opening/Closing of the Expansion valve is controlled by the setting of the superheat which is governed by the setting of the Spring.

What is a quick release 1 air brake valve?

QR1 valve is the brake valve to the steer axles. Follow the service lines from the brake chambers to where they intersect, and that's the valve they're both attached to. It meters air to the brake chambers and also governs air pressure in the brake chambers.

How does a brake pressure control valve work?
