The Qiyas is the process of comparing reasoning within the teachings of the Quran and the Hadith.
Example :
In order to make a comparison with a known ruling (nass) to a new ruling. As a result of this method, the ruling of the Sunna and the Quran may be used as a means to solve or provide a response to a new problem that may arise.
Therefore Qiyas means comparing one thing with another similar thing.
