The University of Sagar (UTD Sagar), Hindi: सागर विश्वविद्यालय also known as Dr. Hari Singh Gour University, is a public university in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, India. It was founded by Sir Hari Singh Gour on 18 July 1946, during the British Raj and is the oldest university in the state. Sagar University is the first university in the state to receive the 'A' grade by the National Assessment & Accreditation Council (NAAC), showing that the institution is on par with leading universities of the country.
