To obtain crystals from the reaction of magnesium and sulfuric acid, you can follow these steps: 1) Mix magnesium ribbon with diluted sulfuric acid in a beaker. 2) Allow the reaction to occur, which will produce hydrogen gas and magnesium sulfate. 3) Filter the mixture to remove any excess magnesium or impurities. 4) Evaporate the filtered solution to allow the magnesium sulfate to crystallize and form crystals.
Reaction rate is determined partly the chemical activity of the reacting components. In general, if you lower concentation (dilution) you lower the activity.
in room temp it decompose .it make a clear soloution with diluted nitric acid
The major constituent of car battery acid is aqueous sulfuric acid. Ideally, it contains sufficient water to attain the maximum electrical conductivity for mixtures of H2SO4 and H2O, about 40 % water. Battery acid may also contain other substances, usually corrosion inhibitors of some kind.
Rising the temperature
Diluted sulfuric acid.
Be careful with the following!!: TOXIC gasesH2SO4,l + 2NaCls --> HClg + Na2SO4,s in concentrated sulfuric acid, also Cl2,g may escape.H2SO4,aq + NaClaq = no reaction in diluted sulfuric acid
A more diluted acid.
It depends on how diluted the dilute sulphuric acid is (i.e. its concentration).
Concentrated sulfuric acid has sulfuric acid molecules where dilute sulfuric acid has sulfate ions and hydrogen ions. Water in the diluted solution acts as the ionization medium.
to diluted the substance that present in the urine
Of course it is. Especially if it's not diluted. Keep it off of your skin and away from your eyes.
when mixed sulfuric acid with water in the presence of oxygen nothing happens but the acid turned from concentrated acid will turn into diluted acid.
Mix Ethanol with Stearic Acid, use Sulfuric Acid as catalyst. Sulfuric Acid can be pre-diluted into the Ethanol. Boil the mixture under reflux. may need to do a few times after each reaction cycle, to use water to wash out the access ethanol & reaction by-product = water. Then re do the same, mix ethanol+sulfuric acid into the partial reactants (Stearic acid + Ethyl stearate) to fully convert the Stearic acid into Ethyl stearate.
Because the reaction is extremely exothermic and can produce an acid mist, which is dangerous and difficult to condense. It dissolves more quietly in concentrated sulfuric acid to form oleum, which can be diluted.
= sulfuric acid VERY rare but it is used and with lots of caution... Muriatic acid DILUTED for concrete cleaning etc. =
