The atmospheric greenhouse effect is a theory as follows: Heat from the sun passes through the atmosphere, warming it. Most of it warms the surface of the planet. As the Earth warms up, it emits heat in the form of infra-red radiation - much like a hot pan emits heat even after it's taken away from the cooker. Some of this heat is trapped by the atmosphere, but the rest escapes into space. The so-called "greenhouse gases" in the atmosphere absorb some of this radiation, making it warmer than the cold of space. This has been liken to a greenhouse (although a greenhouse actually does this by stopping warm air rising and escaping from it). Note that the atmosphere is cooler than the earth surface. Temperatures decrease about 6.5 degrees C per kilometer of altitude. It is claimed that the atmosphere "back radiates" to earth, increasing earth temperatures. The greenhouse theory described above violates the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics. Heat cannot flow from a cool atmosphere to a warmer earth surface. Gerhard Gerlich describes this in detail here : http://arxiv.org/PS_cache/arxiv/pdf/0707/0707.1161v3.pdf
Greenhouse gases have occurred because when the population on earth increased, our reliance on fossil fuels (such as coal, oil, and natural gas)
Yes, the enhanced greenhouse effect is the reason of melting the ice of north pole.
the greenhouse effect influences the earth by cause global warming. The reason why is because the greenhouse effect, traps heat in our atmosphere, causing the earth to heat more than usual.
The greenhouse effect is what keeps the heat in after the light energy is converted to heat energy. If we did not have a greenhouse effect, life would no longer exist since the entire earth would be below freezing.
it allows solar radiation to penetrate to the surface!
No. The greenhouse effect is the process by which certain gasses, called greenhouse gasses, help to trap heat within Earth's atmosphere. This effect has been in place for as long as Earth has had an atmosphere and is necessary for life to exist. Without it, the planet would freeze over. Global warming is primarily the result of an enhanced greenhouse effect, caused by extra geenhouse gasses entering the atmosphere.
Without the greenhouse effect we would be a cold dead planet. No life could exist.

The earth would become very cold, and cease to exist.
Greenhouse effect is making the earth hot as we all know that the whole greenhouse is covered with glass and glass traps the sun rays and heat in it and similar is the condition of the earth as it also traps the heat in it and this is the reason it is becoming hot and called as greenhouse effect.
Greenhouse Effect
The Greenhouse effect is when all of the carbon is burned off and rises up, the atmosphere traps the heat in, which is one reason for global warming
The greenhouse effect is the natural way that the Earth keeps warm. Too many extra greenhouse gases turn the greenhouse effect into an enhanced greenhouse effect. The enhanced, or accelerated, greenhouse effect is causing global warming.

The greenhouse effect is the natural process by which greenhouse gases keep the earth's temperature at a comfortable level suitable for human existence. The enhanced greenhouse effect is the increase in greenhouse gases that is leading to global warming. The term "enhanced greenhouse effect" is also referred to as the "anthropogenic greenhouse effect" and is the idea that humans may have an effect on global climate. It is also referred to as the "runaway greenhouse effect".
