The air compressor is on the late '99 engine and later. Its for emissions purposes so that the O2 sensor in the manifold heats up to operating temperatures faster.
No, the compressor only draws out the heat from air. The blower motor either blows warm air or cold air.
it blows air
Make certain the compressor is running. If it's not running, have the refrigerant level tested.
low freon, bad compressor, clogged lines, plugged condenser etc etc
It's probably the sensor on the compressor. It's best to change the whole compressor and drier.
Most likely it is low on freon and the compressor is cycling on and off.
it's hooked to a compressor and blows air.
in most cases it is low in frion but sometimes it can be a relay or even a compressor best to check with a technition
a/c blows warm air when idles cold when running
Your compressor is not working. Through evaporation compressors cool the evaporator coil and the fan blows air across it. So if the fan is blowing hot air the compressor is not cooling the coil. But check to see if the dial inside the fridge is turned to "more cold" , that turns the compressor on.
The door that switches between warm air and cold air may be stuck open to the warm air side. The linkage that switches to the cold air may be disconnected or broken.
I don't think it blows warm air... but if your talking about the part thats stays outside it blows warm air thats in your home and the part inside "replaces" the warm air with cool air..
