Basically, we used a specific service for all of the sign-ups that we had, and when we stopped using that service, we were obligated to take down any that involved that service. Definitely no malice involved, and we definitely have nothing against users that come from Google or other places. We want it to be easy for people to jump in and start asking and answering questions.

IT is the setting up and upkeep of the network. The IT professionals build the network servers, intsall the OS, make user accounts, give those accounts various permissions depending on the user's job description, then they maintain the health of the network. If a virus breaks out they take care of it. If you are being hacked the IT department deals with it. You can not have an organization with a network and have no IT department. Network and IT go hand in hand.
