I assume that "redline " is the max rev per min!? If its stock your only limited by the valve springs on the valves. These motors were built strong ( forged cranks, hardened rods) made for racing thus making the redline when the valves start to float. Stronger springs = higher rpms! I've seen these motors easily reach 9000 rpm

Days of Our Lives - 1965 1-289 was released on: USA: 26 December 1966
The 1964½ Ford Mustang did not have a 289, it had the 260 (which was rated at 164 hp). If your car has a 289 it is either a 1965 or does not have the original engine. A good way to tell a 1964½ from a 1965 is whether it has a metal dashboard or a padded dash.
By rotating the distributor.
When a new area code is created, local telephone switches must be updated to enable dialing the new numbers, and to route them correctly. It is possible that someone trying to call you was on a cellular provider with a telephone switch that didn't yet have area code 289 activated, although that's unlikely to be the case 9 years after area code 289 was created. Bottom line: glitch in the switch.
