Modernism was dominant in the culture between the 1890s and around 1945, while Postmodernism emerged after WWII. Modernism was centered on logic, and Postmodernism rejected such strict adherence to rational thought.
Post-Modernism and Modernism to some extent
In art history, the term Modernism defines an era of art considered forward thinking and not interested in previous styles. Post-Modernism involves artists looking back and incorporating styles and icons in their own work (See Pop Art and Jasper John's use of the American flag).
Post-Modernism.
We don't have an official name, but it is being referred to by historians as post-post modernism. Basically, while we have adapted certain aspects of postmodernism as useful e.g deconstructalism is useful when analysing sources, historians are concerned by the idea that there is no such thing as truth - that's how you get people like Irving. In Late Modern History, Facts are Facts - no one can deny the holocaust happened, or that World War II happened, or that September 11 happened. what is disputeable is why. that what we learnt from post modernism, and is now being applied to post post modernism.
There are plenty of styles around. We live in the age of post-modernism.
The difference between modernism and post modernism are the highlights and approaches towards life. It also differs in the ways of thinking that led to these movements.
Post modernism contribute to the logic of disintegration due to the rise in trade between the merchants. Post modernism leads to new type of relations which is a cause off disintegration.

Postmodernism challenges the idea of a fixed, unified truth by emphasizing the fragmented nature of knowledge and truth. Poststructuralism further deconstructs language and power structures, showing how meanings are contingent and fluid. Together, they contribute to the logic of disintegration by undermining binary oppositions and questioning hierarchical systems of meaning and control.

post-modernism
Modernism emphasizes innovation, experimentation, and breaking away from established norms and conventions in art, literature, and design, while traditionalism focuses on preserving and drawing inspiration from classical styles, techniques, and values. Modernism often rejects sentimentality and embraces abstraction and minimalism, while traditionalism values continuity with the past and upholding heritage and cultural continuity.
