How do you bypass the factory alarm on a 1991 Buick Park Avenue with a pass key system?

This had been done many times before.... But it is VERY involved and you HAVE to know what your doing. To bypass the little "chip" in the key, you have to know its resistance value in ohms, then you get a resistor of the exact same value and put it in-line in the wire that reads the chip in the ignition. Then you have tricked the system into thinking that the right key is always there. Like I said you have to know what wire it is, what kind of resistor, and what value to put in. However the payoff is no more expensive keys....keys without the chip will now start the car, science you have tricked the passkey system into thinking the key has the chip in it.

How do you get transponder key code for 93 Buick park avenue?

You have what is called a VATS key. The chip is small and black and attached to the key itself(not in the plastic head). The Buick dealership can tell you the VATS # ( which is between 1 & 15) from your cars VIN #. Go to or call your local locksmith and they can make you a new key on the correctly #ed blank.

Can you bypass the thief passkey on a 1992 Buick Park Ave?

Since it has PassKeyII it is super easy. Measure the resistance of the chip in the key. Solder together some resistors that equal the resistance of the chip in the key. Open up the steering column, and look for two wires encased in plastic (I think it is usually orange or yellow). If you open it up inside and there are two small gauge wires inside you've found what you're looking for. Cut the wires and solder in the resistors, wrap it up, and put it back together. Now you can use a $2 Wally World key instead of having to get a spare one from a dealership.

How do you bypass the security system in a 1993 buick lasaber?

That GM car uses a system called VATS Your key should have a chip in it. You need to take an OHMS meter and check the resistance on both sides of the chip in the key. From that, you will need to buy a resistor that matches the resistance on the key You will Cut the Vats system wires that run up into the steering column. It should be two wires that are wrapped in orange plastic. You will need to solder the resister into the harness side of the wires.
