That GM car uses a system called VATS
Your key should have a chip in it. You need to take an OHMS meter and check the resistance on both sides of the chip in the key. From that, you will need to buy a resistor that matches the resistance on the key
You will Cut the Vats system wires that run up into the steering column. It should be two wires that are wrapped in orange plastic. You will need to solder the resister into the harness side of the wires.
GO to www.vatslikeabigdog.com it tells all about how to bypass the VATS key system with pictures and all.

Possible a bad computer chip on your car igition key or you may have to get a mechanic to reset the sequrity code for you. Try a different ignition key before you do anything else. The chip is that little black thing that's on the side of your key. I had a mechanic bypass my security in the ignition.
It cost me $175
Bypass the pass key3
Why would you need to bypass the security system? Also to get it started, the right way just take it to a buick dealership. Bring your VIN number and proof its legally your vehicle and they can look it up for you they will have the right capacitor and even cut the key for you for around $65.
pay someone who has made a career of knowing how to do this. I'm pretty confident that I could remove my your appendix for you but I'm not a doctor. you would want a career professional to do that for you wouldn't you?
