Two 8 ohm speakers in parallel is 4 ohms, and the power will be split between them. However, unless the amplifier is rated for 4 ohm operation, you will not get the same total power out of the amplifer as you would with an 8 ohm load.

Resistance of a speaker is very low...an 8 ohm speaker might well have a resistance of 0.5 ohm. However an 8 ohm speaker will have an impedance of 8 ohms at 1000 Hz, so four of them in series will have a resistance in the order 2 ohms and an impedance at 1000 Hz of 32 ohms.

The total impedance (or resistance) of speakers in series is simply the sum of each of them. Therefore, with 8 speakers at 8 ohms, the total will be 32 ohms.

Can you wire 2 16 ohm speakers to 16 ohms?

No. Two 16 ohm speakers connected together are either 32 ohms, if wired in series, or 8 ohms, if wired in parallel. You can, however, connect four 16 ohm speakers in series-parallel to get 16 ohms, with four times the power handling capacity of just one.

Four resistors having a value of 100 ohms are connected in parallel what is the total resistance of the circuit?

What would the measured ohms be for two 100 ohm resistors wired in series? Two 100 ohm resistors wired in series measure 200 ohms.

Can you run 4 70w speakers on a 150w amp or will it blow?

It's entirely possible to use four 70W speakers with a 150W amplifier but the method will depend on the speakers and the amplifier specification. We will assume that the amplifier will deliver up to 150W per channel, so two speakers will be used on each channel. If the amplifier is rated to drive a 4 ohm load, then two 8 ohm speakers can be wired in parallel and connected. In this instance, take care NOT to drive the amplifier too hard. It will overdrive the speakers at about the same time that it will begin to show a distorted output. This is a condition that can easily damage speakers so be very conservative with the volume control. If the speakers are 4 ohm speakers, they can be wired in series to provide a total impedance of 8 ohms. If the amplifier is rated to deliver 150W into 4 ohms, then the total power to the speakers will be lower than to a single speaker. The benefit is that no speaker can be over-driven and there is a good amount of headroom for safety.

Four 1000 ohm resistor are connected in series across a 4V supply?

Four 1000 ohm resistors in series have an effective resistance of 4000 ohms. Across a 4 volt voltage source, they would have a current of 1 mA, with a power dissipation of 4mW.

Can you wire four eight ohm speakers to four ohms?

I presume you mean wired to four ohms amplifier output: In this case, pair the two speakers in in series which will make the give you 18 Ohms and then join the two pairs in parallel which will result in approximately eight ohms. Then connect then in that format to the amplifier. It will work for you.

How do you wire multiple speakers together?

Speakers can be wired in parallel or in series. Take the speaker wire from the output, and wire the speakers like so: (ignore the squiggles, they represent spaces) ----|------| S S ----|------| For a parallel wiring. This will reduce the impedance of each speaker, though, so two ohm speakers should be used insead of four ohm speakers. Wire them like this: ----| S | S ----| for series wiring. This will increase impedance though, so eight ohm speakers should be bought instead of four. You will be fine using four ohm speakers in either case, but will lose clarity.

How do you wire 4 8ohms speakers in a guitar cab to have an 8 ohm load could you provide a wiring schematic?

To wire four 8 ohm speakers to provide an 8 ohm load, wire them in series / parallel. Two speakers are in series. The other two are in series. The two series pairs are in parallel with each other. All four speakers should be identical. Since you want all voice coils moving in the same direction at the same time, you need to pay attention to polarity. The speakers should have a red dot on one terminal. The two speakers in each series pair are wired red to non-red. The two pairs are wired red to red and non-red to non-red. Specifically, if the speakers are labeled A, B, C, and D, and the polarity is + for red and - for non-red, the connections are as follows... A- to B+, C- to D+, A+ to C+, and B- to D-. The power input goes between A+/C+ and B-/D-. The equivalent impedance is 8 ohms, and the effective power rating will be four times. The frequency response won't be exactly the same but, depending on the cabinet design, it should not matter too much.

What ohm should the speaker be if i want to achieve a 2 ohm load from 4 speakers?

Four 8 ohm speakers wired in parallel would give an effective 2 ohm load.

If two four ohm single voice coil subs are wired in parallel how many ohms will be on the amp?

Two four ohm speakers in parallel is two ohms. Make sure the amp is rated for that load impedance, or you could damage it.

How do you change a golf cart battery wired in series?

I think they mean "How do you charge a golf cart battery wired in series?" If you only have a 12 volt charger disconnect the batteries and charge individually. Wired in series you double the voltage, two 12 v batteries equal 24 v, three equals 36, four batteries equal 48v. Unless you have a charger that will charge the total voltage you have to charge each battery.
