Depending on year, Volvo has "Genuine Volvo" trans fluid which is tough to find unless you have a Volvo dealership nearby... I know 10 + people with various model 2000-2012 Volvo's that run dexron III(3) I've learned a 19.99 oil change is the way to go even for a DIY guy If they do there job accordingly all fluids are topped off and they have the volvo specific tools to remove oil filter and they "usually" use proper fluids to match spec...
