It's called the "Rack and Pinion".
Behind each tire you'll see a tie rod that connects to a 2-3 foot long 2-3 inch in diameter tube with Accordion like boots on each end. The tube with the boots is the "Rack and Pinion" assembly. At the top of the R&P you'll see where the steering attaches. A more simplistic answer is that the wheels are connected together by the axles
The connecting rod has a "wrist pin" which goes through the side of the piston and through the connecting rod. It is one of the most critical fit parts of an engine. The connecting rod or con rod connects the piston to the crank or crankshaft!!!
A connecting rod connects the piston to the crankshaft - A piston rod (also called a wristpin)connects the piston to the connecting rod.
I have one for sale
What is a "Tire Rod", Do you mean Tie Rod?
A rack end is the part of a steering system (rack-and-pinion-steering) that connects a steering rack to the tie rod (track rod/connecting rod) which connects to the wheel. In a simple steering system, there are four parts: steering rod - rack (this is the one that works with the pinion gear) - rack end - tie rod
Its the rod from your front tire to the drive shaft their is one on each front tire
Inner Handle Rod Inner Handle Rod
you see when the cunbustion of the tire rod heats up way to hot it will crack into 4 cungruent pieces and will break look for the size of the rods and that will determine the exact reason for your tire rod breaking.
There is no such thing as "tire rod" -You very likely mean 'TIE ROD' , these two adjustable rods connect the axle spindles with the steering rack.
it connects the piston to the crankshaft
It refers to a breakage of the connecting rod. This connects the piston to the crankshaft
I believe your referring to a tie rod, which is a steering component. There is an inner tie rod and an outer tie rod. The inner tie rod connects to the steering rack which is what is used to turn your wheels left or right. The outer tie rod connects to the inner tie rod and also to the steering knuckle. If you've got a newer 300 series car, chances are your gonna have them replaced because there are some problems with tie rods on these cars. A TIE rod connects the steering to the wheel.
