A supercomputer is used to number crunch. This is generally used in science to attempt to use a theoretical model to accurately predict a real world outcome in order to validate the model. A supercomputers power is measured in floating point operations per second (FLOP). They offer significant processing upgrades over regular processors by working in parallel using shared memory, however, the speed up is proportional to how parallelisible(sp?) the problem attempting to be solved is.
Everything that can be seen on surroundings are made and explained by Physics. It is part of the common daily needs like electricity, vehicles, television and computer which play big roles in life.
Research Letters in Physics was created in 2007.
what are the important roles of physics in the modern world
That rather puts the cart before the horse. The computer is important, but only as a tool to make possible extremely complex predictive and analytical models and calculations. So the Physics is the important bit. The computer is a research tool.
Iranian Journal of Physics Research was created in 1995.
Applied Physics Research Group was created in 2001.
Huge and essential.
There is physics everywhere in a computer, but probably the most important individual part of physics is electricity and electronics.
wel li think tha tyou should go and research it some more then come back

Pakistan Physics Society's motto is 'Promoting the development of Physics research in Pakistan'.
Applied physics can be seen in the movement of research tools into them home as consumer goods. The lasers in optical disk players are an example. My radio controlled wrist watch is another example. What about the computer on which I am typing this or the spectacles through which I am reading my monitor? All applied physics
