Your engine is not running or your "RPM gauge" is broken.
I have a 2001 Sebring v6(2.7l or 3.0l) and i have the same question. When im driving 80 mph im at 3,000rpms. From what i have been reading it sounds normal. I just got the car and used to drive a 2001 F-150 v8 5.5l. So the difference in sound is huge, like im running the engine too hard.
A lot will depend also on the size of the rear tire your running but lets say your running a 26" high tire, you will probably be running close to 3,500 RPM at 70 mph.
About 2300 to 2450 RPM (In that range) At 70 it should be around 2100 RPM.
yes driving at a speed where the engine is running with a slower RPM then a speed where it is running at faster RPM will save a little fuel.
I have a 2001 mercury sable LS premium DOHC 24V engine and usually around 70 I'm at 2500-3000 RPM's
2500
What is the normal rpm for a grand vitara 2002 Suzuki
70 HP @ 5,500 rpm; 74 ft lb @ 3,000 rpm
depending on tire size, around 2100-2200 rpm
i dont know if youre pushing it as far as possible but when im running my 1995 automatic it even gets 1 or 2 hundred rpm's into redline before it shifts. but none the less the ka24de stops producing inteligent horsepower at about five thousand rpm's it doesnt like breathing in the high rpm's
That depends on the rear axle ratio. 2500 rpm ?That depends on the rear axle ratio. 2500 rpm ?
