A lot of that depends on your geographical location. If you're in a small town and miles away from any major city, you can expect anywhere from $10 to $12.50 per hour. Even in my area (Chicago) salary ranges from approximately $10 to $22.50 per hour, and of course, there's union considerations where the salary is negotiated and the salary depends on what industry you're dealing with, geographical locations and a host of other factors, like benefits. Also what needs to be taken into consideration is your personal experience and expertise.
Question is, can you live on what you make and do you think it's a fair deal? If not, look elsewhere, or take the job to gain more experience and always keep an updated resume and have it posted on the off chance you have the qualifications someone else is seeking.
