from what I've read scientific names are usually made to describe unique characteristics such as the existence of a new species, or body parts unlike other animals. Come to think of it I've never heard a scientific name for a human,rat, or dog mouth (considering 3 of the most studied creatures on earth) a mouth is a mouth
