Loosen and remove fitting from junction block Loosen and remove fitting from wheel cylinder Replace and reroute with new line of same size Bleed the affected wheel cylinder
Just take a small section to you local auto parts. The front fitting is different, also the fitting's to the wheels are different. You will need to take these in with you to get the right size replacement.
You do not need tape on any flared fitting, brake or regular. The brake line and the fittings are different size and thread type than regular copper line and fittings. You can't mix them.
What size is the steel brake line tubing on a 1994 Ford Ranger
Yes; the Volkswagen Jetta tdi had a thick disk brake in the front end and the rear disk brake is larger in diameter than the front brakes but not as reinforced.
son of a rapist!
3/16 brake line
3/16 for a metal line. And rubber brake lines don't have sizes.
3/16"
Ford uses a quick connect fitting. You need the right size plastic release clip for the size line. It is a split plastic washer that goes around the line, you push it into the fitting and that releases the line. You can get a set of them for I think $6. Once you see the tool, it should make sense what it does and how to do it. Push the clip into the fitting with one hand and pull the line out with the other.
It's 3/16 steel line
I'm pretty sure the brake line is 3/16" and the fuel line is 1/4". I'm doing a complete brake line replacement on my 01 Z24 right now.
