The sources for wastewater are extremely vast. Most water from homes and businesses gets treated by municipalities. Some often even treat storm run off due to it collecting oils and greases from the roads.
A major contributor of wastewater reaching our streams, rivers, and oceans untreated is due to farming. As they add chemicals, such as anhydrous, insecticides, or any other number of chemicals to treat crops and or soil, and then water these crops or the crops receive rain, this water runs off into the receiving streams and collect these chemicals on the way.
These cause negative issues in the waters such as excessive algae growth, fish kills, and so on, and are largely unmonitored or regulated. Municipalities must meet extremely stringent guidelines when treating wastewater before it enters the stream as effluent but increasing problems still exist. Specifically there are dead zones that are ever increasing in the Gulf of Mexico which has been diagnosed as a problem of certain types of algae. The increase algae growth has been linked to nitrogen and phosphorus in the water. While municipalities treat for this, agriculture adds to it with their chemicals and run off.

The wastewater reclamation pond has a certain odor to it. Municipal wastewater can be reused for irrigation.
Wastewater is: aguas servidas OR aguas residuales.
how color reflects the age of the wastewater?
There are many. Disposing of hazardous waste appropriately, stopping runoff, protecting source water, reducing wastewater volume... etcetera...
Phosphorus, which can be used in fertilizer production. Biogas, which can be used as a renewable energy source.
Bacteria will seek out Nitrate as an oxygen source before using sulfate, braking the sulfide production chain in wastewater. Calcium Nitrate is one Nitrate based chemical, others include Nitrate of Soda and Potassium Nitrate.
WASTEWATER TREATMENT What is Wastewater? Wastewater is used water that must be treated before being released into another body of water to prevent additional contamination of water sources. Wastewater is generated in a variety of ways. Wastewater is whatever you flush down the toilet or rinse down the drain. Rainwater and runoff, together with different pollutants, flow through street gutters to a wastewater treatment facility. Agricultural and industrial wastewater can also be a source of wastewater. Some wastewaters are more difficult to treat than others; for example, industrial wastewater can be difficult to treat, whereas domestic wastewater is relatively simple to treat (though treating domestic waste is becoming increasingly difficult due to increased amounts of pharmaceuticals and personal care products found in domestic wastewater). WASTE WATER TREATMENT PLANTS: WHAT DO THEY DO? Both industrial and residential wastewater are treated at wastewater treatment plants, which analyse water samples and remove impurities. To disinfect the water and prepare it for reintroduction to the environment, a number of physical and biological methods are applied. Residential sewage, industrial runoff, and urban stormwater are all examples of wastewater that must be filtered and treated chemically and biologically to remove sludge, oil, grease, bacteria, and other organic and inorganic impurities. Pearl Laboratory supplies provide a wide choice of waste water treatment lab furniture solutions, all of which come with a plethora of extra accessories and are constructed from the highest quality and most durable materials.

This is a course offered where a person undergoes wastewater training for designing and managing wastewater treatment and disposal. On a more detailed manner, he is responsible for the design (engineering) of a system to capture and treat wastewater, whether it is runoff, sewage, etc., so the final product is reuseable or redirected.
