I have a 91 Camaro rs 305 tbi auto zone recommended .035. When I took old ones out they were at .045. I pulled plugs due to car not running right and plug ends were black. When reading up on this condition I read that this could be from the plugs being cold. So pulled them and re-gaped to .045. I'm not sure if this is 100% correct or not but it's the best I can do. If anyone know any different feel free to correct me.
