We need to know what engine it has.
I would replace the ignition module in the distributor.
For a 1992 Chevy S10 2.5L engine the firing order is: 1-3-4-2 . The distributor rotates clockwise.
buy a new distributor
1-3-4-2 Distributor rotates clockwise.
engine front to back: 1,2,3,4,5,6 distributor from #1 going clockwise: 1,5,3,6,2,4 how do you find #1 on distributor
Sorry, the 1992 B'mers all have computer controlled ignition. There is no distributor. However, there are coils on top of each spark plug that serve the function of providing spark energy (which is what the single distributor used to do).
Bad ignition rotor? Bad distributor cap? Bad ignition wires?
check the Distributor.
1992 Chevy trucks did not have a CAM SENSOR. They had a distributor.
1992 Chevy S10 firing order The firing order for a Chevy s10 depends on which engine you have. 1.9L engine the firing order is: 1-3-4-2 . Distributor rotates counterclockwise. 2.0L engine the firing order is: 1-3-4-2 . Distributor rotates clockwise. 2.5L engine the firing order is: 1-3-4-2 . Distributor rotates clockwise. 2.8L engine the firing order is: 1-2-3-4-5-6 . Distributor rotates clockwise. 4.3Lengine the firing order is: 1-6-5-4-3-2 . Distributor rotates clockwise.
try replacing your distributor, distributor cap, rotor, and maybe the spark plug wires.
No the distributor gear that is on the end of the distributor is to small for the big block cam shaft.
INSIDE the top of the distributor.
The distributor cap is located where the spark plugs cables are connected .They go from the motor to the distributor cap.
ignition module is located under the distributor, where the spark plugs come out to go to the spark plugs, remove 6 bolts that hold the 3 capped distributor on, unplug the wires from both ends of module, 3 plugs, lift module out, nothing holds it in after distributor is removed, plug new module in, replace distributor.
If you don't have spark at the plugs, or at the distributor cap, the problem is probably a faulty ignition module. This is located under the distributor cap and ignition rotor. You need test equipment to check the coils, modules and pole pieces.
4.3L engine. Firing order: 1-6-5-4-3-2 . Distributor rotation: clockwise
The 92 model did not have a crank sensor on it. Sounds like it won't start. I would check the ignition module that is bolted to the Distributor plate underneith the distributor cap. That can cause a no spark and no fuel.
Spark plug order? there is no such thing.
