The warning light that looks like a sprocket with an exclamation point in the middle is your Transaxle Indicator. If that sounds serious, that is because it is. If this light stays lit for more than 5 seconds after you start your car, there is a transmission problem which is only going to get more and more expensive the longer you wait. It will become more expensive very quickly, so take it to a mechanic.
You may also want to check the automatic transmission fluid level in your car. Unlike oil, you want to check this fluid level while the car is running in order to get a proper level check. Low ATF level can cause this light to come on and cause serious damage to the transmission.
