What would the psi in a fuel pump be if you changed out your original Standard Chevy V6 pickup to a V6 Vortex?

It would be nice to know the years of the 2 engines to tell you the fuel pressure for sure. But I do KNOW that the Vortec engine requires alot more fuel pressure to run the engine then your other engine requires.

What does a high pressure fuel pump do?

It pumps fuel at a higher pressure than a standard fuel pump.

Can a faulty fuel pressure regulator prevent the fuel pump to send fuel to the engine?

No, the fuel would still be pumped to the engine but it would be at the wrong pressure at the injectors.

How do you bleed air out of fuel lines on a DTA 360 international?

International DT360 engines have mechanical fuel pumps. They have a hand priming pump on it. It looks like a knob with a hole in it. Find that, unscrew the knob so it'll pump up and down, stick your thumb over the hole and pump it until it gets hard to pump--ten times or so. Then screw the knob back in and try starting the engine. These engines apparently lose prime easy so they gave you an easy way to get it back. Oh, and make sure you have a DT360 fuel filter on the engine and NOT a DT466 filter--the fuel pump on a DT466 can force fuel through a finer filter than the one on a DT360. If you have a DT466 filter on your truck the thing won't run no matter what you do, and the bad part is the DT360 and DT466 filters are the same size.

How do you disable fuel pump and release fuel pressure?

In most vehicles you can remove the fuel pump fuse or fuel pump relay as the engine is running, the engine will stall when the pressure is gone.
