The correct radiator cap is determined by the amount of pressure it is designed to hold, not temperature. The standard radiator cap for that Olds is probably a 15 or 16 pound cap. The correct temperature of the engine would be determined by the thermostat which would be 195 degrees F.
Remove the lower radiator hose.
On the 1998 Intrigue it is on the rear side of the radiator, in the lower left hand (driver) side. May need to remove the lower shroud (5 bolts) to gain access more easily.
The thermostat is located on the engine on a 1998 GMC Sierra 1500 standard. The thermostat can be found by following the upper radiator hose directly to the thermostat,

Looking at the car from the front, the petcock is on the lover right hand side of the radiator. It doesn't twist, rather pulls out. Pull it toward the engine and it should open.
You need to add water to the radiator, it may be low and you will overheat your motor.

What does 'service engine soon' light mean on a 1998 olds intrigue?
