The 2003 model was rated at 235 horsepower with 460 pound feet of torque. The manual transmission was a High Output engine with 300 horsepower and the same torque as the automatic transmission.

The point at which the horsepower measurement is taken. A 100hp outboard engine may only deliver 87 horsepower to the propeller due to losses in the transmission and bearings. The engine horsepower is 100, but the shaft horsepower rating is 87 horsepower.
Brake Horsepower doesn't "do" anything, it's a rating of the engine's power before any parasitic loads (alternator, transmission, water pump, etc.) are added.
The boat should have no lower horsepower that this rating.
The xl1200 has a horsepower rating of 65 @ 5200rpm. The xl1200 has a horsepower rating of 65 @ 5200rpm.
The 330ci has a horsepower rating of 225 for standard models. The performance package boost the horsepower to a rating 235.
WHP stands for wheel horsepower. The factory rating does not include the losss of power throught the transmission or the differential but this does. It is what you get when you put your car on a chasis dyno. It is what your car is atually putting to the road.
