What is the sunni Islam religion?

Islam is the religion preached by all the Prophets of Allah Karim. Islam is neither Sunni nor Shiita. The last Prophet Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (SAW) preached Islam and his holy Companions (May Allah Karim be pleased with him) practised Islam during and after his life time. Very unfortunately, conspiracies worked and there was a split after the death of the Fourth Rightful Caliph Hazrat Ali (May Allah be pleased with him). There was no Shiia SECT during the reign of first three Rightful Caliphs. Hazrat Ali (RAU) in whose name this sect was created had been a sincere and active adviser of these three Caliphs. How can he be such a coward to hide his True self during all these years of his life? He and all the members of his family had been receiving stipends from these three Caliphs. How could he receive all favours from them if he didn't consider them to be Rightful? Was he a hypocrite? No, He was much above this meanness. He was the Lion Of Allah Almighty. All the Muslims, included the Sunnies, respect and love him from the depths of their hearts. The love of Ahl-i-Bait is the foundation of Each Muslim.

Sunni Muslims are those who follow the sunnah (way of life) of the prophet Mohammed PBUH. Way after he died when his grandson, Ali, took the Caliph's position, people started developing new forms of worship such as punishing themselves for letting one of Ali's son get killed..and this is when "shi'at Ali" or Shi'a Muslims started forming. Therefore, Sunni Muslims existed first.

Majority of the Muslims (About 85%) belong to Sunnat wal Jama'at. The Sunnies follow the Qura'an. They believe that not a single verse from the holy Qur'an has been changed, deleted, or tempered with. They follow the deeds and sayings of the beloved Prophet Muhammad Mustafa (SAW) and his holy Companions (RAU). They also believe in the Four Righteous Caliphs in order of their assumption of the office of Caliphate. They follow the jurisprudence compiled by Four Imams of Jurisprudence (Fiqah) Imam Abu Hanifa (RA), Imam Malik (RA), Imam Shafaii (RA), and Imam Ahmad bi Humbal (RA).

According to Shia Islam scholars, Sunni Islam is a version of Islam that does not believing in Imamat (Leadership) as one of the five pillars of the Islam.

Five Pillars of Islam according to shia Muslims are:

1. Monotheism: The Oneness of Allah (tawhid)

2. Divine Justice ('adl)

3. Prophethood (nubuwwa)

4. Succession to Muhammad (imamat)

5. The Day of Judgement and the Resurrection (Qiyama)

Practices of Islam according to shia Muslims:

1- Prayers (salaat) - 5 times a day

2- Fasting (sawm) during Ramadan

3-4. Alms giving (zakaat and khums)

5- Pilgrimage to the city of Makkah (hajj)

6- Holy Defense (Jihad)

7-8. Enjoining good (amr bil-ma'rouf) and forbidding evil (nahiy an al-munkar)

9- Supporting those who walk in the path of Allah (tawalli li awliyaa' Allah)

10- Turning away from the enemies of Allah (tabarri min a'daa Allah)

Five Pillars of Islam according to Sunni Muslims are:

1. professing (Shahadah)

2. Prayer (Salat)

3. Alms-giving (Zakāt)

4. Fasting (Sawm of Ramadan)

5. Pilgrimage to Mecca (Hajj)

also different sects of sunni have differs in five pillars. for example Mu'tazilate Sunni Scholars like shia consider Adl as one pillar. but Ash'arites does not believe Adl is one of Pillars although believing in Adl as an attribute of God but with an interpret of Adl that in view of shia and Mu'tazilate is equal to not having Adl.

Quran rejects majority and has many verse sayings majority are wrong. to prove this only search اکثر in Quran. for example:

...most of the people do not know." ‌[7:187]

...most of the people do not believe. ‌[11:17]

...but most of them are defiantly disobedient. ‌[3:110]

...most of them lack wisdom. ‌[5:103]

...You will not find most of them grateful [to You]." ‌[7:17]

And they say: We have more wealth and children, and we shall not be punished. ‌[34:35]

And most of them follow not except assumption. Indeed, assumption avails not against the truth at all. Indeed, Allah is Knowing of what they do. ‌[10:36]

Or do you think that most of them hear or reason? They are not except like livestock. Rather, they are [even] more astray in [their] way. ‌[25:44]

but Quran loves minority. only search قليل in Quran:

..but how few are they!" ..[38:24]

...when fighting was prescribed for them, they turned away, except for a few of them. And Allah is Knowing of the wrongdoers. ‌[2:246]

...they believe not, except for a few. ‌[4:46]

...none had believed with him, except a few. ‌[11:40]

Is He [not best] who responds to the desperate one when he calls upon Him and removes evil and makes you inheritors of the earth? Is there a deity with Allah? Little do you remember. ‌[27:62] (this verse is said to be about Mahdi (sa))

...How many a small company has overcome a large company by permission of Allah. And Allah is with the patient. ‌[2:249]
