CH3COOH is the formula of ethanoic acid. Its other name is acetic acid found in vinegar.

5%-10% of food grade ethanoic acid solution is called 'vinegar'.

It's an acid coming under carboxylic acids and hence its not very strong.

In the pKa-scale in 0 (= strong) to 20 (= very weak) it's 4.77, so it is a weak acid.
