i just bought a thermestat for my 2004 Colorado, omg....$45.00 new with the housing.
i cant find the thermostat seperate. and wait till you see where it goes, the housing is on the driver side of the block. after you take tire off, and move the inner splash sheild, then you can see it. and GM did NOT put a drain plug on the radiator. you have to pulll lower hose off, real smart, on there part.
180 degree.
Factory said to use a 195 degree thermostat
That engine requires a 195 degree thermostat in it.
180 degree.
A 195 degree should be used.
195 degree
190 degree
On the drivers side below the alternator at the end of the coolant hose thermostat and housing are one piece.
180 degree in the summer time and 195 degree in the winter time.
P0128- coolant thermostat ( coolant temp below regulated temp)
It should have a 195 degree thermostat.
Probably a 195 (F) degree thermostat. That would be what the system is designed for.
